Välaberget is a climbing area near Undersåker, around 20 minutes from Åre. The main cliff combines bolted sport routes and traditional lines, while the surrounding forest holds an extensive bouldering area. The mix of short rope routes, varied grades and bouldering makes it one of the Åre valley’s most established climbing areas.

Alexander Rydén Climbing Välaberget, Åre

Titeltåtel is a 6b sport route at Välaberget near Åre, Sweden. Alexander Rydén bolted the route as a birthday present for his father, Jan Rydén, who was given the opportunity to make the first ascent.

The route has since become one of the crag’s most popular easier sport climbs, thanks to its friendly character, good protection and closely spaced bolts.

Välaberget is an established climbing area near Åre with around 30 routes ranging from grade 4 to 7c, including both traditional and bolted sport climbing. The surrounding forest also contains around 60 boulder problems, ranging from approximately grade 4 to 7C+.
