Alexander Rydén Climbing Via Burrata 7c+, Tegefjäll, Åre
Via Burrata is a sustained 7c+ sport route at Tegefjäll, Åre, Sweden. The approximately 15-metre line follows a relatively smooth, near-vertical wall with small crimps and continuous technical climbing all the way to the top.
In the summer of 2021, I began developing a new climbing area at Tegefjäll, just outside Åre. The aim has been to create a well-bolted sport climbing area with routes across a broad range of grades, including options suitable for climbers learning to lead outdoors.
Today, the area has more than 30 bolted routes ranging from grade 4 to 7c+, as well as four sport multipitch routes. The crag still has significant development potential, with space for more than 60 routes in total.

DEVELOPING A CLIMBING AREA IN TEGEFJÄLL
Since 2021, I’ve been developing a new sport climbing area in Tegefjäll, just outside Åre. This film shows the process behind creating new climbing routes, from finding and cleaning a line to drilling, bolting and the first ascent.
SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT
The climbing area is developed on a voluntary basis, with donations helping fund bolts, anchors and materials for new routes. Everyone who contributes any amount will get access to a guidebook on climbing in Tegefjäll.
